Deanna obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California in 1988 and thereafter worked in Santa Monica, California as an instructor of independent living skills for developmentally disabled students. She became an elementary school teacher in 1989 and taught in the Lynwood Unified School District and the LosAngeles Unified School District over the next several years.
Deanna went on to attend Loyola Law School and upon graduation in 1995 was awarded the Pillsbury Madison SutroLaw Grant to perform outreach, education and litigation at Public Counsel in the areas of consumer and elder protection and law. In 1996 she was hired a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of LosAngeles practicing in the areas of consumer and civil law.
In 1999 Deanna branched out into private practice and assisted clients with conservator ships, guardian ships, probate, trusts and wills, and family law. From 2009 to 2011 she worked at the City Attorney’s Office in the City of Compton performing administrative hearings and drafting complex legal opinions.
Deanna began working for the Law Offices of Keith E. Davis in March of 2014, practicing special education law and advocacy. She brings with her nineteen years of legal experience in addition to the comprehensive knowledge she has gained by working in related fields.
